Un-Stuffed Pepper Bake


2 medium bell peppers (I used red and green)
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 TBS garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire
1/2 TBS Taco seasoning
16 oz. diced tomatoes (with chilies)
1 1/2 cups rice, cooked
1 cup Italian cheese
15 oz. tomato sauce


Preheat the oven to 375 F.
Fry ground beef, onions and peppers together until the meat is cooked. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper and taco seasoning. Remove from heat and add diced tomatoes, cooked rice and Italian cheese. Scoop the mixture in a 9×13 pan and top with tomato sauce. You can add extra cheese on top if you want.
Bake for 20 minutes, uncovered. Serve with tortilla chips.
