Craisy Granola Bars

School has been crazy and it’s only going to get worse. That means, sadly, that cooking time almost completely zeroes out. But we still gatta eat! So I found a simple granola bar recipe, modified it to my liking and tried it out! We have been munching on them all weekend and they are fantastic!

Ingredients:

2 cups corn flakes
2 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup craisins
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup corn syrup or honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Combine corn flakes, oats and craisins in a mixing bowl.
In a pot, combine peanut butter, corn syrup and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Pour over the cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Spray a baking pan (8×8 is good) with non-stick cooking spray and press the mixture firmly into the pan (if your hands or spoon is wet then it is easier to press the mixture down without it sticking to you and coming back up.).
Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into bars. Store in an airtight container.
