Shredding chicken can be very time consuming, especially if you are making a lot. I have wanted an alternative to the fork-method of shredding chicken and I finally stumbled upon a new technique here! It is so great that I just have to share it with you. It literally took me 60 seconds to shred 6 chicken breasts!
The trick is to blend the hot chicken with a kitchen aid! I used chicken that I had just boiled, and immediately after I pulled it out of the water I put it in the mixing bowl for the kitchen aid, with the paddle attachment. Mix it on low for about 60 seconds until it is nicely shredded.
I have so many recipes that use shredded chicken, so this great tip will hopefully help save you some time in the kitchen! You can even make an extra large batch, storing all the pre-shredded chicken in the freezer until you are ready to use it!
